ADJUSTABLE DERAIL, RERAILERS Model HDH-140 is a hinged derail that is adjustable to fit rails from 80 to 141 lbs. per yard. It is made of a special ductile alloy casting which, at 109 lbs., is somewhat lighter than the derails shown on page IV-14. It features a 10” wide handle which makes the derail easier and safer to use, and can be equipped with either a standard or automatic staff and blue target. The derail may be pad-locked in either position. HDH-140 derail (HDF staff and target sold separately) Model HDHF staff assembly consists of a connecting rod and a mounting plate which is lagged to the ties in the center of the track. A 62” high staff “flips up” automatically when the derail is thrown onto the rail. Components shown in photo are sold separately: HDH derail, HDHF staff assembly and target. HDHF (HDH derail and target sold separately) Rerailers are used to put the wheels of derailed cars or locomotives back on the track. Pulling the car causes the wheels to climb the incline and fall into place. It is not necessary to stop to reset the rerailers at each wheel because every car binds the rerailers tighter in place.
